Hello and welcome to another week!! It has been a busy one for my sisters and me. With travel and family obligations, sometimes posts don't happen. On that note, mine is a day late. But I actually have a craft to post!
I was walking up to my front door the other day and saw the wreath I made for this post. Now that it's October and almost Halloween, I figured it was time to switch it out.
I'm not going to repost the steps, since they're pretty much the same. But instead of patriotic colors, I bought some cute new fabric and raided my scraps to find all I needed to make this cute wreath. I love the freedom you have with scrappy wreaths to make it as crazy or "clean" as you want. I may end up adding a "boo" or something to make it more exciting. Then again, I might just leave it plain too. :)
I ended up having so many extra strips that I thought I'd do a giveaway this week. To be entered to win this Halloween wreath, you just need to answer the question below:
What's your favorite Fall craft or treat?
A view of the other side of the wreath. |
The Giveaway will close Monday night, and I'll announce the winner in my post the next morning. I am seriously missing the NW and their beautiful Autumn trees and weather. Help me feel even more homesick by reminding me what I'm missing. :) Have a great week!!
Allison
Allison, I had to post just to tell you what a pretty front door you have! I'm not a fan of mine, and that needs to change...but here in the polar north, the time for paint and such has pretty much passed. So maybe in the spring (summer to you, I'm sure). Favorite fall treat...at the moment, maybe homemade caramel with the apples we get from a local farmer. Ahem. Honeycrisp apples, I mean.
ReplyDeleteFor a rental property, I'm a fan of the door too. I LOVE caramel, but I've never attempted making my own. Maybe this year... maybe. :)

Oh yeah, caramel...that I happened to make last night...not exactly in the lose-weight plan, but what else do you do when you get 80 pounds of apples? If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear. And I was preparing.
DeleteYeah, pretty darn good for a rental indeed! I love the glass inset.
I am seriously sitting in my (parked) car eating a honeycrisp apple! The wreath is darling! I don't know where you find the time to craft with 2 little ones! I am a fan! Btw - my favorite treat is anything chocolate but I am refraining these days ...
ReplyDeleteHonestly, Shelly... this was my first attempt. I took 5 minutes here and there to finish it. Luckily, it's a VERY fast craft. Way to go on the self control! :)

My favorite fall treat is pumpkin bread!!! The NW misses you too! Love the wreath! Nikki
ReplyDeleteThis is Nikki Cason in case you didn't know.
DeleteI love pumpkin - pumpkin bread, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin cookies, and especially the pumpkin oreo shakes they sell at the Malt Shoppe (sounds disgusting, but they're amazing, I promise).
ReplyDeleteI love pumpkin waffles! Last week we tried adding walnuts to them, and they were delicious. I also love pumpkin pie cake, which my family did instead of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving (my mom wasn't a pie fan). Congrats on such a cute baby!
ReplyDeleteHow about my favorite fall activity? I love going to the pumpkin patch! We always have so much fun. I love fall in the NW. Crisp, sunny days, the smell in the air, the leaves changing....it's the best!
ReplyDeleteWay to make me homesick, Bethany (I guess I asked for it). :) We never really went to pumpkin patches growing up, but I hope to start that tradition with my kids.

Pumpkin Bread or muffins. Just love the way it makes my house smell.
ReplyDeleteYum! I love ANYTHING pumpkin! :)

I have my wreath hung that you made for bunco. I love it. Right now you are missing the amazing color of the leaves changing. And it's blowing like crazy outside, so I will probably go out tomorrow to no more leaves on the trees. One thing you won't miss, is all the pine needles and leaves that get tracked inside with wet shoes. Not fun.
ReplyDeleteAh... that made me WA homesick. :( Miss you girls and our fun, LOUD Bunco nights. I'm pretty sure that was my fault. We're getting ready to start a group here, but it won't be the same.

I love the random colors and patterns on this wreath. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite fall treat is pumpkin cake cookies and any pumpkin/cream cheese combo. I feel like every day is Halloween here since my kids love dress ups and candy! :)
